COMPANY’S CORE VALUES

PRINCIPLES   BEFORE   PROFIT

Many now agree that we need to go back to an understanding of purpose, and of values and principles for good business. A clear purpose that recognizes higher goals and aspirations engages employees and guides their day to day behaviors. Values should clearly describe behaviors and expectations, how they are lived from top to bottom, and how they are reinforced through people management practices from recruitment to reward and recognition.

QUALITY BEFORE   QUANTITY

Quality over quantity is a common phrase you hear these days, but what exactly does it mean? It means that quantity will never make your customer happy, lots of something is never a good thing. It doesn’t matter how much of something you have; what matters is the quality of what you have.

CONSCIENCE BEFORE   CORPORATION

Conscience is a cognitive process that elicits emotion and rational associations based on an individual’s moral philosophy or value system. Conscience stands in contrast to elicited emotion or thought due to associations based on immediate sensory perceptions and reflexive responses, as in sympathetic central nervous system responses. In common terms, conscience is often described as leading to feelings of remorse when a person commits an act that conflicts with their moral values.  A corporation is a legal entity created by individuals with the purpose of operating for profit.

OUR INTEGRITY

In the present scenario, Security is on the top agenda of the nation. While the Government is over-stretching its measures in Securitizing India, the private industry is fully geared in supplementing the State’s initiatives. “If you think technology can solve your security problems, then you don’t understand the problems and you don’t understand the technology”. You need both the man and the machine. Security is a very difficult topic. Everyone has a different idea of what “security” is, and what levels of risk are acceptable. The key for building a secure network is to define what security means to your organization. Security is everybody’s business, and only with everyone’s cooperation, an intelligent policy, and consistent practices, will it be achievable. Many people pay great amounts of lip service to security, but do not want to be bothered with it when it gets in their way. It’s important to build systems and networks in such a way, that the user is not constantly reminded of the security system around him.

Building a strong security culture begins at the top of the organization, right from the CEO and CIO level. We’ve all seen the “people, process, technology” triangle, in security management. However, all too often, when considering security requirements and controls, there is more emphasis on processes and technology than on people. A poor security culture,
training and attitude can easily undo any of your controls and create the weakest link for an organization’s security. The gigantic task of fool-proof security cannot be handled by the Police or the State alone. It calls for designated roles for all stakeholders i.e. society at large, Corporate world, the Government, the technology, the gadgets but most important is the Man where the Security agencies have a major role. It is every management’s primary responsibility to ensure safety of the assets and provide a safe and secure environment for its employees and its customers.

Wishing all Indians “ A safe & secured life.”
